Snow’s owners always keep their 12-year-old male indoors, especially now that there is snow everywhere. Still, Snow likes to go outside for a few minutes twice a day, says owner Lisette Hoorn. “He’s always back quickly.”
Last Sunday that was what they expected, but Snow stayed away. Lisette and her husband searched everywhere in the area, but in vain. The owners are afraid that people have seen him outside and brought him into their home with good intentions.
Special cat food
Still, that wouldn’t work for Snow. Due to a medical problem, the cat needs special food. With regular cat food, Snow gets a bladder infection and his health deteriorates. “The people who brought him in may not have seen our messages on Facebook pages and in app groups, so we hope to reach them.”
Another option is that the tomcat has hidden somewhere because of the cold. “But where? We have searched in all residential areas within a radius of 1000 meters.” The residents of the nearest retirement home and the entrepreneurs of the shopping center have also been informed, but without success. “We are at our wits end.”
