Castle domain De Lovie recognized as open heritage
Because De Lovie wants to open the castle domain to the general public, and also to its residents, all people with intellectual disabilities, the non-profit organization is now receiving extra money for its restoration.
Millions in restoration money
The castle dates back to the 19the century and survived the First World War without cracks. But the castle has been almost completely empty for years. It urgently needs to be restored and that will cost several million euros.
The restoration of the castle will take about six years.
