The East Flanders public prosecutor’s office is conducting a judicial investigation into two general practitioners (68 and 64) from Dendermonde. The investigation is said to have been started after a detainee died in the cell from an overdose of fentanyl prescribed by one of the doctors. The 68-year-old doctor spent several days in prison, but was released yesterday on conditions. His colleague is also released under conditions.
