A strange accident occurred on December 25th in Cesano Boscone. Here a car one White Volkswagen T-Roc it broke through the station fence and ended up in the platform area and next to the tracks. The photo of the car made the rounds on social media. The cause of the misadventure was a wrong maneuver by the driver, a 42-year-old, who ended up in hospital with his minor son in the green code. The accident inevitably caused some moments of panic, the intervention of the police from the local station was then immediate, who took steps to restore calm. From the first reconstructions, the event occurred on the afternoon of Thursday 25 December. Around 2.08pm, a car ended up crashing into the train station. It seems that the car was in the car park on Via De Nicola, and that the person driving was carrying out a manoeuvre. Unfortunately there must have been a mistake, because the car went over the small grates that separate the car park from the station, and ended up on the tracks.
Luckily, at that moment, no trains were passing. The accident inevitably also had repercussions on railway traffic – despite the traffic already reduced for the holiday – which was interrupted for four hours on Christmas afternoon to allow the recovery of the vehicle and the safety of the area. Fortunately, the accident did not cause serious injuries: a 42-year-old man was accompanied in code green to the San Carlo hospital in Milan. With him was his minor son, aged 11. The man underwent the usual tests and blood alcohol test to check whether he was behind the wheel after taking alcohol and the results are awaited. The phone call with the request for intervention was made around 2pm and the firefighters, the Carabinieri and the 118 staff arrived on the scene. Regarding the accident, the images taken by the station’s video surveillance cameras are also being acquired which could provide further useful elements for the reconstruction of the dynamics and to ascertain that the 42-year-old was behind the wheel for whom a complaint has currently been filed for damage and interruption of public service.
