Carrier Graaco taken over by industry peer Kooiker

Graaco’s order book is well filled. The company has its own rail connection and is the only company in the Netherlands with a direct connection to both the Dutch and German railways. The company has its own trucks and can also transport by water. Graaco also packs and labels goods for customers before they are transported further.

Graaco’s grain trains transport 100,000 tons of grain every year. From Poland, the Czech Republic and Romania. One train carries the same amount as eighty trucks. “Once the war between Russia and Ukraine is over, there will also be opportunities for rail transport to China, the Silk Road,” says Blog.

Kooiker has branches in Meppel, Grou, Leeuwarden, Heerenveen, Deventer. Just like Graaco, she also transports a lot of food. Graaco expects to achieve a turnover of 22 million euros this year, Kooiker around 50 million.
