CArlo Mazzacurati. A certain idea of cinema
Type: documentary ✦✦✦
Director: Mario Canale and Enzo Monteleone
Built around a long interview by Mario Canale, built in 1999 for The language of the saint, The portrait of the director, who disappeared in 2014, is much more than an affectionate tribute.
It is rather the attempt to give an account of a real idea of cinema nourished with good readings (first the Central Europe, then the “Venetians”), Many discussions around films and authorspassages to the north-east and the story of a humanity of provincials and losers.
