Brazilian National Football Team coach Carlo Ancelotti, was sentenced to one year imprisonment for tax evasion.
According to the Spanish official news agency Efe, Ancelotti was sentenced to 12 months in prison on the grounds that he worked Real Madrid in 2014. Ancelotti was also fined 386 thousand euros.
Ancelotti at the hearing held on 2 and 3 April in Madrid Provincial Court, argued that he never thought of defrauding the treasury. The 66 -year -old coach demanded the acquittal by stating that the club and his advisors applied what he said, and if he was found guilty, he wanted to be taken into consideration for the reasons for the mitigating reasons for him.
According to the decision of the Madrid Provincial Court, the Italian coach was released in 2015 with a possible tax charges in connection with the collection of revenues related to image rights.
