Brazil’s football association seems to get closer to his goal of winning Carlo Ancelotti as a new national coach. The Real Madrid coach continues to be cautious.
According to the media, Carlo Ancelotti could soon take over the Brazilian national team. As the British broadcaster Sky Sports and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano report, the Italian trainer is to take office in June in front of the international game window. The Brazilian association is therefore “very confident” to be able to sign the 65-year-old.
Although Ancelotti’s contract at Real Madrid runs until next year, his future will be on the brink of the “royal” after a disappointing season. After the 2: 3 defeat in the cup final against FC Barcelona, Ancelotti said that he could “continue or stop”. This decision will be made in the next few weeks.
Brazil has been trying intensively for the experienced coach for a long time. The previous national coach Dorival Júnior had been released against Argentina at the end of March after a clear defeat.
It remains open whether Real separates from Ancelotti before the end of the current season and the upcoming club World Cup in the summer. Bavarian Leverkusens Xabi Alonso has been considered a possible successor in Madrid for months. As a professional, the world and European champion once stood on the lawn for real.
