Carlo Ancelotti being taken to the helm of the Brazilian national team – now harder than before. The Brazilian pilot pool has been open since the end of the World Cup.
Ancelotti, who works as the head coach of Real Madrid, is heavily linked in rumors to be the next head coach of the national team. There is only one problem: Ancelotti’s contract with Madrid.
The Italian pilot’s contract does not expire until the summer of 2024. He reminded the same at a press conference on Friday, when he was asked about the topic during the World Cup tournament for club teams.
Brazilian news site GeGlobo said that the Brazilian Football Confederation would be willing to wait. Ancelotti could therefore coach until the end of this season in Madrid and then move to Brazil.
According to GeGlobo, the club boss of Real Madrid Florentino Perez is still sitting at the negotiating table with representatives of the Brazilian Football Association during this month. The topic would be Ancelotti.
Of course, it is possible that Ancelotti will not even coach until the end of his contract in Madrid. FC Barcelona has broken the points gap with Real Madrid in La Liga. Pérez also wants to be successful every season in the Champions League.
Real Madrid will face Al-Hilal in the Club World Cup final on Saturday.
