It is exceptional today that care students receive lessons in a real hospital. AZ Oostende had a surplus department and believes in that formula. Bernard Meyers, AZ Oostende: “We have a lot of shortages of healthcare professionals. Then it is nice if you can sit at the table and help shape education and training.”
From now on, 120 students teach lessons at the Serruys Hospital every week. These are care training courses where thousands of vacancies will be released in the coming years.
