The alarm comes from the 57th National Cardiology Congress of the National Association of Hospital Cardiologists (Anmco), underway in Rimini: cannabis consumption would increase the risk of myocardial infarction by six times and the risk of stroke by 40%. During the Congress, in fact, specialists highlighted the possibility – in some cases – of formulating a diagnosis of “cardiovascular disease caused by substances of abuse”therefore linked precisely to drug use and cardiovascular consequences.
