A car ended up in the water on the Hoofdweg (N919) in Veenhuizen this morning. According to bystanders, four people were inside.
The victims have now been taken to shore with the help of a fire boat where they are being treated by ambulance personnel. A trauma helicopter with a mobile medical team has also arrived to provide specialist medical assistance.
Due to the accident, the Hoofdweg near Veenhuizen is closed to traffic. It is unclear how the car ended up in the water.
