On the night of Friday, a driver of a Mazda MX-5 Cabrio came off the road on the B101 between Stolzenhain and Hartmannsdorf in the Elbe-Elster district of Brandenburg for reasons that have not yet been clarified and crashed into a group of trees.
The seriously injured is said to have remained undiscovered for a long time, according to initial findings. The MX-5 was completely destroyed in the crash and the driver was trapped inside.

Due to the time and darkness, the wreck was apparently not noticed by other drivers. Only a truck driver saw the accident car by accident. He called the emergency services and helped the driver.
The fire brigade freed the seriously injured man from the wreckage, and a rescue helicopter flew the seriously injured man to a hospital.
When exactly the accident happened, how long the driver was in the wreck and how the accident happened is still unclear.
