Important drop in new cars sold in June 2025: the market records a heavy -17.4% after the May stall. Hybrid cars rise, all other feeds are falling
If May was a month of substantial stall, in June there was a sharp braking of the Italian automotive market: -17.4% compared to the same period of 2024. According to i UNRAE datahave been 132.191 The units registered last month, compared to the 160,120s recorded the previous year. This data also implies a decline on the entire first half of the semester, with 854,690 new registrationsdown 3.6% compared to 886,467 of 2024 and 21.1% towards pre-plays. Slightly higher the Electric share in June, climbed to 6% Compared to 5.1% of May, while in relation to 2024 there is an imposing flexion of 40.7%, however, due to the presence last year of the Output day of car incentivesthen exhausted in a few hours.

Also in June the growth trend of the hybrid cars continues, in particular of the plug-in: they rise to 7.2% in the month and 5.3% in the six monthsrecording an important 70% increase compared to the previous year, thanks above all to the legislation on fringe benefits. As mentioned, the electrics are on the 6% in the month and 5.2% in the semestera share however far from the objectives set by the European Union. Hybrids increase, with a share of the 43.6% to June and 44.5% from January. In the past month, the division is 12.7% for full hybrid and 30.7% for the Mild. Instead, the descent for endothermic engines continues: the petrol drops to 23.6% (26.1% in the semester), while the Diesel goes to 10% (9.9% January-June) and the LPG at 9.6% (9.1% since the beginning of the year).
