A motorist was hit by the Kerkweg in Schaijk on Sunday afternoon after he first hit a tree. The driver is said to have been seriously injured. The emergency services pulled out en masse and a trauma helicopter landed.
The accident happened around four o’clock near the intersection of Kerkweg with Elsstraat. The car, with Polish license plate, eventually ended up upside down and partly in the ditch next to the pasture.
Resuscitation
The blow with the tree was so hard that the parts of the car were a few meters away in the meadow. The driver is said to have been seriously injured and also resuscitated.
In addition to the trauma helicopter, the fire brigade also pulled out with two cars and several police units. The car in which the victim was was Total Loss and has been towed by a recovery company.
