The car that burned out on Sunday night in the Vogelaar Park in Etten-Leur was deliberately set on fire. The police reported this on Thursday. There has been a ban on gatherings in the park since last Friday due to nuisance, but things went wrong again on Sunday night.

According to the police, the car was deliberately taken to the park and set on fire. The fire brigade quickly brought the fire under control, but could not prevent the car from being lost. The police are looking for the perpetrator(s) and are calling on witnesses to come forward.

Gathering ban
In the Vogelaar Park, the nuisance caused by a group of young people continues to cause problems. Mayor Marina Starmans of Etten-Leur therefore reintroduced a ban on gatherings last Friday. Such bans had previously applied there as well.

Young people up to and including 25 years of age are not allowed to be in the park with two or more people until September 1 if they behave in an intimidating manner, break things or cause noise pollution.
