On the N34, a car ended up upside down against a tree in the verge, after a single-vehicle accident between Gieten and Anloo. An air ambulance came to the scene for assistance.
The victim was taken to a hospital in Groningen. Two emergency vehicles from Groningen also arrived on the scene, but ultimately did not have to be deployed.
The N34 was temporarily closed to traffic.
