A car crashed into the guardrail next to the A59 near Heesch on Thursday night. According to a witness, the driver ran away into the bushes after the accident. A short time after the crash, the car caught fire.
The fire brigade extinguished the car. Officers searched for the driver in the bushes with a dog.
The car was taken by a salvage company. The road was cleared with a sweeper truck.
