A motorist crashed into the building of the bowling alley in Meppel last night. That happened at half past two last night on the Kratonstraat in Meppel. The driver was said to have had too much to drink.
The man came from Oosteinde and drove onto Kratonstraat. There it went wrong and he lost control of the wheel in the corner. As a result, he drove into a traffic bollard and crashed into the bowling alley building. He finally came to a stop against a tree.
The driver was arrested and taken to the police station in Assen because he had drunk too much. The wall of the Pinz bowling alley building is damaged. The track cannot open today.
