With a frontal collision with a scheduled bus on the N34 near Gieten, a motorist was injured last night. This happened to the industrial estate of Gieten. According to the police present, the motorist rode the wrong side of the road at the time of the accident.
Several emergency services, including the fire brigade, ambulances and the Mobile Medical Team (MMT), arrived. The motorist was transferred to the hospital with injuries. The bus driver remained unharmed. There would have been three passengers on the bus, these have also remained unharmed.
The police are investigating the circumstances of the accident. Due to the investigation, the N34 was closed for hours.
