A parked car caught fire on the Zuidenveld in Assen this evening. The car was severely damaged.
The fire was discovered around 11:15 p.m. It is the second car fire within 24 hours in Assen, and also close together. Last night a car also caught fire on Oosterbroekstraat. Both streets are in the Noorderpark district.
The police are investigating the cause of the fires and have not ruled out arson.
