Canadian Foreign Minister announced sanctions due to Putin’s decision on the DPR and LPR

Canada will impose economic sanctions due to the decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin to recognize the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics. About it reported on Twitter, Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly.

“We are preparing to impose economic sanctions for these actions separately from those with which we are ready to respond to any further Russian invasion of Ukraine,” the Canadian minister wrote.

According to Joly, Putin’s decision is contrary to the UN Charter, the Minsk agreements and seriously threatens regional stability and security.
