Calzedonia mother Oniverse increases annual sales by almost two percent

The Italian clothing group Oniverse ended the 2023 financial year with a small increase in sales.

The parent company of brands such as Calzedonia, Intimissimi and Antonio Marras, which until recently operated as Calzedonia Group, announced on Monday that it had sales of 3.11 billion euros last year. Compared to 2022, this meant an increase of almost 2.0 percent. Adjusted for exchange rate changes, revenue grew by 5.5 percent. According to the company, 62 percent of total sales came from foreign business.

Over the course of the year, the group significantly expanded its sales network. In total, he opened 314 new points of sale, 248 of which were abroad. The focus of expansion efforts was particularly on the USA, France, Spain and Brazil. At the end of December, the group had 5,644 points of sale, of which 1,912 were in Italy and 3,732 in other countries.

Oniverse invested a total of 563 million euros last year. In doing so, the group not only strengthened its own retail trade, but also its omnichannel offerings and logistics capacities. The group also opened up a new business area with the acquisition of an 88 percent stake in the Italian boat builder Cantiere del Pardo SpA, which specializes in sailing and motor yachts.
