The call from 11-year-old Hafsa Bidri from Antwerp has provoked an unprecedented response. Since her emotional testimony during De Warmste Week in Genk, more than 800 new potential stem cell donors with North African roots have registered with Belgian Red Cross-Flanders in just two days, the organization reports to HLN. Hafsa suffers from a rare, life-threatening blood disorder that is accompanied by chronic anemia.
