“Women in Coffee” will be presented to Goal 5, the first gender equality training campus which will take place at La Sapienza in Rome on 11 and 12 March. This is an event that takes its name from the fifth goal of the 2030 Agenda, the one that aims at gender equality and the empowerment of women by eliminating any form of discrimination and aiming at an egalitarian and sustainable development.
Women in Coffee, in support of women in the land of coffee
Women in Coffee is an initiative that aims to raise funds to support projects that make a difference. In 2019, for example, the sum needed to buy one was reached roaster to be donated to a community of 20 coffee-producing women in the Hondo Valley, Dominican Republic. Just a year later, a project was started that is gradually taking shape. It is about the construction of one library in the Marcala region, Honduras. How to support its growth? Among the various projects that Women in Coffee embraces, we find the collaboration with the foundation Funtasia by Elisa Sednaoui: a non-profit organization whose main project is to organize and implement school programs to support thefemale emancipation and gender education in order to build new positive relationships, focusing on empathy between boys and girls.
