Cabinet wants to get rid of Russian gas by filling storage tanks and saving energy

The government wants to get rid of Russian gas as soon as possible. It wants to do this by filling enough gas storage tanks, getting gas from other countries, calling on citizens and companies to save energy and accelerating the arrival of new wind turbines and solar panels. Pumping up extra gas from Groningen is a very last option, Minister Rob Jetten of Climate and Energy announced on Monday.
