Specific focus is on the OM- and retraining of professionals for the energy and raw plant transition. With this allocation, the total number of LLO projects awarded comes to 94, spread throughout the country.
After this allocation, for example, Friesland starts working on making the regional manufacturing industry more sustainable, such as the textile industry and machine building. This requires many new skills and knowledge within companies.
A coalition of companies and training courses in several regions, led by Aeres, also starts working on a range of retaining and retraining for companies in the dairy industry and in the confectionery and bakery sector. This contributes to the transition to circular production in the food industry.
In the port of Rotterdam, the focus is on training employees for directors who are able to resolve complex processes, such as Netcongestie in the port.
State Secretary Mariëlle Paul: “That educational institutions and hundreds of companies in all provinces throughout the Netherlands are now going to work energetically, is a very nice result of this scheme. It shows the great involvement of education and business in the social tasks that are in the field of, for example, the energy and rule transition. And at the same time it also shows the enormous drive that is there to contribute to a well -trained workforce. “
LLO catalyst
In the coming years, the labor market shortage will only increase, while labor productivity is falling and we stand for substantial social tasks. Continuing to develop a lifetime is becoming increasingly important.
The LLO catalyst is a multi-year investment from the National Growth Fund with the aim of promoting lifelong development within regions and sectors. Educational institutions in secondary vocational education, colleges and universities work together with social organizations and the business community to be able to respond to a rapidly changing society and labor market. The granted grant applications also contribute to the innovation and training of professionals, in particular by strengthening the use of OM- and additional training or by strengthening learning and innovation in the workplace.
