Open farm days

The day after Ascension (Friday 30 May), farms, spread throughout the Netherlands, open their gates and doors to the public. During the open farm days you can see what a farmer or farmer’s wife does and you participate in activities. Think of milk suit bowling, making a puzzle with solar panels, face painting and a (blind) tasting in the dairy bar.

The nearest farm is that of the Verboon family in the Weipoort. This is a nature reserve between Benthuizen and Leiden. There you can come and take a look at the dairy farm on Friday 30 May and get to know their seventy cows. Or go to the family in ‘t Hout in Moordrecht on Whit Monday where they show how a dairy farm works. On This ticket You see all the farms that participate.
