Yesterday, Iltalehti’s readers were allowed to vote on JL Runeberg’s day about which is a more delicious winter bakery: a bunny or a Runeberg cake. Of course, we also asked if the bunny tasted better with jam or almond filling.

More than a thousand respondents participated in the vote. The 1094 respondents voted on the jam of the Valiuspupi for an overwhelming treat: this option received 636 votes. The second most popular response option, Runeberg, received 278 votes.

Almond filling with almond filling received the least votes, 180.

However, in the open answers, a few respondents emphasized their opinion that it is a matter of almond. “If you put jam in the bottle, it’s a jam,” one wrote.

Runebergintoit should be juicy, readers emphasized. Roni

“The bun is traditionally filled with almond mass and is more distinct from other delicacies than a more conventional jam version,” the other writes.

The readers also had their own favorite combinations or tuning methods, which they told in the open answers.

Runeberg

Some of the open answers show that the Runebergintortt is wanted to be moist. “The Runeberg cake must be juicy. Too dry can be pungent, of course, an adult version, ”says one of the respondents.

Another reader tells about his own Kikka – this is likely to save if the cake purchased from the store turns out to be too dry. “I pour brandy on the plate and put Runeberg’s tart into it for a while to get wet from the bottom,” the reader writes.

Some of the respondents were presses that favored the traditional recipe, while some were ready to remove even the wildest. “Runeberg’s tart should have traditional and genuine ingredients, such as rum instead of just rumaromi,” writes the first group.

Another reader, in turn, tells you how to use Calvados-Brandy as a moisturizer of their self-bread bosses. “That’s the best thing,” he says. Some readers also said they had played with the form of the pastry. They had baked other Runeberg cheesecake or muffins.

“I have baked a full version of Runeberg Fort to my allergic children. The raspberry jam and the white border were coconut. Sunflower and pumpkin seed powdered from the almond farm to the almond farm, ”one writes.

Buns

Although the jam had a clear favorite in the vote, there were other interesting options in the open answers. For example, apple or blueberry jam may have been used as a jam, or for example, Nutella or Biscoff spread may be filled.

Some had come up with an inspiration from the candy shelf. In between, a Daim or Pätkis filling might have been put, or as one of the respondents had come up, something even more original: “I make the buns of the cream with cream and I crumble the Wienernougat chocolates,” he writes.

“The bunny with pistachio paste and whipped cream are the best,” the other tips.

Quite a few also advised that Kinuski fits well as a filling of a bun, either as such or as a friend of another filling. “In addition to the almond mass, jam or other sweet, such as cinnamon sauce or maple syrup,” one respondent writes. “The salt -flavored filling tastes good for something that normally always buys a bun in the almond mass,” says the other.

In addition to the filling, the bun could also be played. One respondent said he would make his family a bunny bun. Even a few respondents said they were using earbuds for the bulls. “The fades are nice and taste good. Big ear and jam and whipped cream, ”one of them writes.

And what would the Horn of Calculative sound like? A couple of inventive readers said they were tuning in this way. “Fresh Croissant, in between whipped cream and strawberry jam. Better than a bun version, ”one wrote.
