198 games from 2011 to 2016
Borussia Dortmund seems to have found a buyer for right-back Thomas Meunier. According to the Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri The 31-year-old has agreed a three-year contract with his former long-time club Club Brugge with an option for a further season. The contract should bring Meunier around 4 million euros gross – less than half of his salary at BVB, to which he is tied until 2024.

Meunier played for Brugge between 2011 and 2016 before moving to Paris Saint-Germain. With 198 competitive games, he has played more for the 18-time Belgian champions than for any other club (20 goals/22 assists). Meunier lifted the league title with Brugge in 2015/16 and the cup the year before.
At BVB, the 62-time national player under Edin Terzic no longer plays a role in the plans for the coming season. Most recently, it was said that Dortmund was ready to sell Meunier below market value: for a fee of 3 million euros. Tavolieri has not written anything about this so far, but with the sale of right-back Clinton Mata (30) to Olympique Lyon, the Belgians recently took in 5 million euros, which could now be reinvested in Meunier.
