BVB | No ManCity commitment: Erling Haaland is playing for time

The race for the future of BVB star Erling Haaland is entering the home stretch. The game of poker has apparently not yet been decided. The reason for this is the Norwegian himself, who is said to be leaving a back door open and playing for time.

In the past few weeks, English media have once again leaned far out of the window in the Erling Haaland case and reported on an agreement between the Norwegian and Manchester City. The Citizens initially did not comment on the rumored execution, and the Haaland camp even issued a denial. And apparently for good reason.

Like the Spanish sports newspaper “AS” reported on Saturday, the superstar has not yet given up hope of moving to Real Madrid. The newspaper claims to have learned from the striker’s immediate environment that Haaland has not yet committed to ManCity. Instead, he wants to keep both options open – a move to Manchester and a move to Madrid.

According to “AS”, the reason for Haaland’s “time game” is very simple: the royals from Madrid are still his dream destination. It is said that Real received a verbal confirmation from the Norwegian. Means: If the Spanish record champions officially get into poker and make an offer, Haaland will accept.

BVB knows about the Haaland farewell

However, it is not clear whether the royals make the said offer. According to “AS”, the real bosses started pondering for two main reasons. One is the outstanding condition of Karim Benzema, for whom there would be no place in the team after a Haaland deal. The second reason is the commission demanded by advisor Mino Raiola and father Alf-Inge Haaland, which according to the report should be up to 75 million euros – that would be too much even for the Madrilenians.

One way or another, BVB’s hands are tied in poker. According to “AS”, Haaland has long since informed Dortmunders that he will change in the summer. Apparently the Norwegian doesn’t know where to go yet.
