BVB jewel arouses desires

At Borussia Dortmund there are always talents growing up who sooner or later will try their luck at other clubs. A BVB youngster who is now arousing the desires of other clubs is Marco Pasalic.

As the “Germanijak.hr” portal reports, the 22-year-old midfielder could leave BVB for Croatia in the summer.

Accordingly, two clubs from the 1st HNL are putting out feelers to Pasalic: HNK Rijeka and Dinamo Zagreb.

Rijeka have already made an offer to the BVB youngster. An offer from Zagreb is to follow.

Pasalic’s contract with Borussia Dortmund expires in the summer, so a fee would not be due.

Pasalic switched from VfB Stuttgart to the black and yellow in summer 2021. Since then he has played 35 games for the Revierklub’s reserve team.

In the current season there are 22 appearances in the 3rd division. The midfielder, who mostly plays on the right side, scored four goals.

Pasalic was also able to get a taste of Bundesliga air at BVB. In the 0-2 draw against VfL Wolfsburg on matchday 4, the Croatian U21 international was substituted on by coach Edin Terzic in the final minutes.

“I’m incredibly grateful and happy to have made my debut in the Bundesliga,” Pasalic told club media at the time.

On the following matchday he was also in the squad against Borussia Mönchengladbach (2:4), but was not substituted on.

Palasic is struggling with injuries

After the native of Karlsruhe switched to Borussia Dortmund in the summer of last year, he experienced a forgettable first season with the Black and Yellows due to several injuries.

In the BVB U23, he only made eight starting eleven appearances in the 2021/2022 season and was initially unable to make his way to the pros due to a syndesmosis ligament injury, among other things.
