BVB in the Youth League quarter-finals for the first time – Bynoe-Gittens & Ostrzinski annoy Man United

Borussia Dortmund’s youngsters have reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Youth League for the first time ever. Coach Mike Tullberg’s Under-19 side defeated Manchester United 5-3 on penalties after being tied 2-2 at the end of regular time. The BVB juniors get it in the next round on 15./16. March in a home game with either Real Madrid or Atlético Madrid.

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens became the acclaimed match winner at BVB, scoring both goals for his team and giving his team a chance to reach the last eight in an eventful game. Charlie McNeill (23) and Rhys Bennett (85) were there to equalize for the Red Devils. In the final from the point it was Bynoe-Gittens again who let BVB celebrate – he converted the decisive penalty. Dortmund goalkeeper Silas Ostrzinski was able to parry two attempts.
