Bieler’s successor
After Pascal Bieler left TSV Steinbach, Borussia Dortmund II found a new assistant for coach Christian Preusser. Ex-professional Julian Koch returns to the black and yellow. Most recently, the 31-year-old was assistant coach for VfL Bochum’s U17s.
“I’m really happy to be back home and to be able to work successfully on the pitch,” said Koch, who came to BVB’s youth team at the age of eleven and made two Bundesliga appearances for Dortmund in 2010. He made 54 appearances (three goals) for BVB’s U23s. In 2019 Koch ended his professional career after the only foreign post at Ferencváros Budapest.
