Anthony Modeste has apparently found a new employer after six months without a club. According to a Sky report, the 36-year-old striker will join Spanish third division club CF Intercity.

Modeste will therefore receive a contract until the end of the season, which will be extended by another year in the event of relegation. With 16 points from 21 games, Intercity is currently in 20th place in the Primera Federación – Grupo II table. The medical check is scheduled for Tuesday, after which the former Bundesliga striker will become the top earner for the club from Alicante, which was only founded in 2017.

Modeste was most recently under contract with Al Ahly FC in Egypt under coach Marcel Koller. The collaboration ended there last summer after six goals and four assists in 31 games. The Frenchman had previously played a total of 209 Bundesliga games (85 goals, 17 assists) for 1. FC Köln, TSG Hoffenheim and Borussia Dortmund.
