Borussia Dortmund has to do without striker Julien Duranville for a long time. According to agreed media reports, the 19-year-old is suspected of a shoulder-deck blast. As the “Bild” and the “Ruhr Nachrichten” reported, the association is currently advising whether the injury must be treated operatively or conservatively. An official confirmation from the black and yellow is still pending.
Duranville threatens to miss the entire season preparation and could lack the team for several months. BVB has not yet published a diagnosis. The youngster had injured the club World Cup in the United States at the quarter-finals against Real Madrid (2: 3). Around 20 minutes after his substitution in the 82nd minute, he fell unhappily on his right shoulder after a duel.
The renewed injury would be the fifth longer downtime for the Belgian offensive player, who has always had to struggle with muscle problems again and again since his change. In around two and a half years, Duranville has so far only reached 27 professional missions and 692 minutes of play in Dortmund. In January 2023, he was hired by the RSC Anderlecht for 8.5 million euros.
Due to the violation of the Belgian Duranville, the need for BVB increases on the offensive outer lanes. As a classic foreign striker, Karim Adeyemi is only available to a regular professional with Chelsea FC after the change from Jamie Gitten.
