BVB departure in summer? That’s probably the plan with Moukoko

Explosive speculation about the future of Youssoufa Moukoko at Borussia Dortmund: Allegedly, the storm jewel wants to turn its back on BVB in the summer. Or has he not yet made a decision?

Will Borussia Dortmund and Youssoufa Moukoko go their separate ways in the summer? According to “Bild” that’s quite possible. Accordingly, the striker, who was once considered a child prodigy, is planning his farewell in the summer. Moukoko is said to be dissatisfied with his situation at BVB.

It doesn’t seem to be that clear, however. The usually well-informed “WAZ” counters that Moukoko has not yet made a decision about his future and basically feels comfortable and in good hands with BVB.

According to the latest information from “Sky”, it is planned that Moukoko should definitely complete the summer preparation with the black and yellow and only then will it be decided how to proceed.

First of all, the 17-year-old, who is currently injured again, wants to concentrate on his recovery anyway.

BVB: Hardly any playing time for Youssoufa Moukoko

The fact is: Moukoko’s game shares under coach Marco Rose at BVB are small. He has only 168 minutes under his belt this season in the Bundesliga, spread over eleven mostly shorter appearances (one goal, one assist). Even when fit, the youngster would probably not be a regular player.

So it would come as no surprise if he were flirting with a guest appearance at a club that offers him the prospect of more playing time.

Against this background, the “WAZ” writes that a loan deal from the summer or in the next second half of the season is conceivable. Moukoko could then gain experience with an ambitious club whose football philosophy matches that of BVB. “Sky” is now also jumping on this train.

However, the future idea does not apply to FC St. Pauli, which is considered a possible buyer. The style of play at Moukoko’s former club is different than in Dortmund.

Long absences from Youssoufa Moukoko at BVB

Moukoko consultant Patrick Williams recently left his protégé’s future open to “Bild”. “It is not a matter of course that Youssoufa is extending at BVB,” explained the player’s agent.

Moukoko is currently suffering from a torn thigh muscle – not his first injury of the season.

The BVB talent was out in October with a muscle injury and in November with a torn muscle fiber and an eye infection.
