BVB apparently paid a six-figure transfer fee for 14-year-olds

Borussia Dortmund will probably bring another young talent closer to the professional squad in the near future. No wonder. For the now 15-year-old attacking player, BVB already paid a proud transfer fee in the summer of 2020.

Giovanni Reyna (19), Ansgar Knauff (19) and Youssoufa Moukoko (17) made the leap from BVB’s junior division to Dortmund’s professional squad, Jude Bellingham (18), signed one and a half years ago by Birmingham FC from England’s second division, is already an undisputed regular player.

In the past few months, Borussia has lived up to its reputation as one of the best places to go for highly talented footballers.

And according to a report by “Bild”, the next top talent is already scratching their feet: Raul König, a 15-year-old BVB U17 scorer, will be the next player to take part in the special training of talent coach Otto Addo and thus in ascend the atmosphere of the Bundesliga team.

BVB: Nine goals in nine games by Raul König

König’s record in the substructure of BVB is quite impressive: He has already scored nine goals in just as many appearances for the Dortmund B-Juniors this season. The teenager, who is almost consequently also a German U16 national player, presents himself as lively, dribbling and a strong finish.

At BVB they obviously believed in the qualities of König more than a year ago. According to “Bild”, a six-figure fee flowed from Dortmund to his ex-club FSV Mainz 05 in the summer of 2020 – a considerable sum, considering that König was only 14 years old at the time. The new BVB hope is also said to have already signed a personal equipment contract with Nike.

Within the club, they promise a huge future for König, if he stays healthy, they say.
