Borussia Dortmund has a comparatively small squad and struggling with some injuries. There is probably no potential new addition for the time being.

According to a report by the “New York Times”, Borussia Dortmund has been flashed with with an offer for Charlie Cresswell. The English U21 international is currently under contract with FC Toulouse in Ligue 1 and only changed from Leeds to France a year ago.

How high the BVB offer was not known. Toulouse paid 4.5 million euros for Cresswell a year ago.

The 23-year-old is a central defender, 1.90 meters tall and physically robust. In view of the many failures in the defense-BVB coach Niko Kovač has to do without Niklas Süle and Nico Schlotterbeck for weeks-Cresswell would be a welcome reinforcement.

The transfer window is still open until September 1st. There will be intensive days for the sporting leadership of BVB until then.
