Green light from the player is missing

The head coach gone, tensions in sporting management, a tough winter transfer window – and then an unexpected player departure? It’s a busy time at Borussia Dortmund these days. As Gianluca Di Marzio’s editorial team reports, BVB and SSC Napoli have fundamentally agreed on the modalities of a winter transfer for Karim Adeyemi. It is now up to the 23-year-old to give the green light for a move to the Serie A club.

On Thursday, the winger was said to have had direct contact with Napoli coach Antonio Conte to talk about the sporting project that awaited him in Italy. According to reports, Chelsea FC will also show interest in Adeyemi, as in the past – but for the coming summer. The Munich native has a contract until 2027 and will only play 666 minutes in 13 games this season due to injury, although he did score ten goals. Its market value is estimated at 30 million euros.
Napoli target Adeyemi doesn’t want to leave BVB at all?
The Azzurri recently sold attacker Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (23) to Paris Saint-Germain for 70 million euros. Adeyemi would be a possible replacement, for whom Napoli are now offering 52.5 million euros, according to “Sky” (instead of 40 million euros initially). BVB once transferred 30 million euros to RB Salzburg for him. According to the pay-TV broadcaster, the fast professional is not moving away at all during this transfer period.
According to “Sport Bild”, Adeyemi’s desired goal is the Premier League, which is why the Blues would be at the top of his list – but he would definitely also listen to offers from other clubs. According to the paper, the Black and Yellows would be willing to talk for a sum of well over 50 million euros, but probably only after the season.
As it is said, the black and yellow have their sights set on Kevin Schade (23) from Brentford FC, who, according to “Sport Bild”, is also a candidate for Napoli and is difficult to get anyway. Alejandro Garnacho (20) from Manchester United and Patrick Dorgu (20) from US Lecce are considered further alternatives at the Italian club. The latter, in turn, is also traded by the Red Devils. Dortmund have already given up an offensive player in Donyell Malen (25) and sold him to Aston Villa for 25 million euros.
