BVB and FC Bayern interested in Prague youngsters

Will BVB and FC Bayern compete in the summer for the next big striker? According to consistent media reports, this could happen, because allegedly both Dortmund and Munich are interested in 19-year-old Adam Hlozek from Sparta Prague.

BVB was already said to be interested in Adam Hlozek at the end of 2019. The then 17-year-old was associated with the Dortmunders by the Czech media. At the time, ex-Borussian Tomas Rosicky, who is still head of sports at the Czech first division club, was mentioned as a trump card in possible negotiations.

After a long silence about a possible signing of Hlozek, rumors of a move to the Bundesliga picked up momentum again at the end of last year. The “90min” portal wrote in November that both BVB and FC Bayern are interested in the youngster. This is exactly what the “image” reports now.

The newspaper writes that Adam Hlozek could be signed by Dortmund in the summer as a replacement for Erling Haaland. And “Bild” also speculates about the possible role of Tomas Rosicky in the deal, which would cost the black and yellow around 25 million euros.

FC Bayern also takes a close look at Hlozek

Whether BVB would be awarded the contract is another matter, because according to “Bild” FC Bayern has now intensified its efforts to win Hlozek. Hasan Salihamidzic is said to have already taken a close look at the personnel. At the same time, however, the question remains whether the young up-and-coming striker would be satisfied with the role behind Robert Lewandowski.

With his performances in the past year and a half, the youngster has at least indicated that he is also ready for a regular place in a bigger league. Last season, the teenager was the league’s top scorer with 15 goals and seven assists. And in the current season, too, the national player (12 senior internationals) is leading the list of scorers in the “Fortuna Liga”.
