BVB allegedly agreed with Haller’s replacement

Numerous strikers have already been traded as successors to Borussia Dortmund’s Sébastien Haller, who is suffering from cancer. Now another name appears on BVB’s list, with which an agreement is said to have already been reached.

Like the portal”owngoalnigeria.com” reported, Borussia Dortmund has found a successor to Haller. Accordingly, BVB signs Nigerian Umar Sadiq from La Liga club UD Almería.

According to the report, 25 million euros will be due as a transfer fee. Bonuses can increase this amount to 30 million euros.

BVB managing director Hans-Joachim Watzke confirmed on Wednesday at “sportschau.de” that Dortmund want to get a replacement for Haller.

According to Watzke, however, this search is complicated “because the supply on the market is not exactly plentiful”. Nevertheless, BVB wants to present a solution very soon. “Ideally, something should happen in the next eight to ten days,” revealed the managing director of the internal schedule.

Sadiq shoots Almería to promotion

Sadiq has been playing for UD Almería since October 2020. His contract with the Spanish promoted team runs until 2025.

The 25-year-old striker was instrumental in Almería’s return to the Spanish top flight last season. In 36 competitive games he scored 18 goals and prepared twelve more goals.

Sadiq played 13 games for the Nigerian national team, in which he netted five times.

BVB probably does not want to spend more than ten million euros

At BVB, numerous names have recently been traded as Haller replacements. The clubless veteran Edinson Cavani, Barca star Memphis Depay or Anthony Modeste from 1. FC Köln are among other candidates for the district club, it said.

However, it is unlikely that BVB will dig so deep into their pockets for a new striker. According to consistent media reports, the black and yellow do not want to spend more than ten million euros. Therefore, the Sadiq rumor should be treated with caution.
