Borussia Dortmund will have to do without soccer player Nico Schlotterbeck in the next two Bundesliga games.

The sports court of the German Football Association (DFB) blocked the central defender after his emergency brake against Werder Bremen (2-2) for two league games last weekend.

Schlotterbeck and BVB approved the judgment.

At the turbulent game on Saturday in Dortmund, Schlotterbeck saw the red card in the 21st minute after the 25-year-old previously pushed the Bremen striker Marco Grüll on the upper body and brought down.

As a result, BVB outnumbered a 2-0 lead, but Werder equalized.

In the league, Schlotterbeck lacks his team on Saturday at 1st FC Heidenheim and a week later against VfB Stuttgart (3:30 p.m./Sky). Previously, BVB will meet Shachtar Donetsk in the Champions League (9 p.m./DAZN) on Wednesday.
