Emilio Butraguenodirector of institutional relations for Real Madrid, assured that they were “superior” in the 2-0 victory against Celta de Vigo four days after a match in London against Chelsea that was “very important for the club, the players and the hubby”.
“It has been a great week for us. The London match has been very important for the club, the players and the fans. Today we played a very complete match in which we were superior and we are happy,” he said on DAZN.
On the other hand, Butragueño considered as “normal” the ovation to Luka Modric by the public at the Santiago Bernabéu since he is “a myth in the history of Real Madrid” and praised the Frenchman eduardo camavinga.
“It’s a delight to watch him play, as a winger and as a midfielder; he has great technical and physical capacity. He makes decisions and comes out of complicated situations with astonishing naturalness. He has accepted what it means to play for Real Madrid and we are very hopeful with him having his age into account,” he said.
Finally, he did not want to refer to an alleged interest in the Celta midfielder Gabri Veiga.
“He is a very good player, but he is a Celta player and we are very respectful with those players who are not from Real Madrid”he declared.
