Busy motorways, partly due to accidents on the A2 and A29

It was busy on Thursday at the end of the afternoon on the Brabant highways. There were accidents in several places. On the A2, among other things, traffic was stuck in traffic for an hour at two different places. The A29 was closed for hours due to an accident near Willemstad.

On the A2 it was stuck in several places. For example, around a quarter past five an accident involving several vehicles happened near Valkenswaard. The road was closed in the direction of Eindhoven to Maastricht, which led to an hour delay. Traffic also took three quarters of an hour longer on the parallel road, the N2. The vehicles were recovered just before 6 a.m. and the road was reopened. Both files then decreased again.

From Eindhoven to Utrecht it was stuck on the A2 from Boxtel. Traffic was faced with about 25 kilometers of traffic jams, which led to a delay of more than an hour. Around half past seven the traffic jam was almost cleared.

An accident happened on the A50 from Oss to Arnhem. The road was closed, but has now reopened. Around a quarter to six there was still seven kilometers of traffic jam.

A29 closed for hours
The A29 from Bergen op Zoom to Rotterdam was closed since early afternoon. There was a major collision between two trucks. The road was closed until seven in the evening. Traffic had to detour via Dordrecht on the A59, A17, A16 and A15, but traffic was also stuck there. There was a traffic jam on the A17 from Roosendaal to Dordrecht for almost an hour. On the connecting A16 from Breda to Rotterdam, road users had to expect a delay of 45 minutes.
