Burt the crocodile known from the crocodile man has died at the age of 90.

Classic comedy About the crocodile man (Crocodile Dundee, 1986) a familiar crocodile named Burt is dead, says CNN.
Burt the enormous crocodile died at the weekend, aged at least 90 years. Burt’s height was estimated to be more than five meters. The animal spent its last years in a reptile house called Crocosaurus Cove in Australia.
– It is with great sadness that we announce Burt, the iconic crocodile and Australian classic Crocodile Man– star of the movie, about passing away, Crocosaurus Cove wrote on Instagram.
– Burt was truly unique. He wasn’t just a crocodile. Burt was a force of nature and a reminder of the power and majesty of these incredible creatures. Although the animal’s personality was sometimes challenging, it was what made Burt so memorable and beloved by those who worked with him and by thousands of visitors over the years.
Reptile House plans to honor Burt’s legacy by erecting a plaque honoring his unique life.
Crocodile Man-comedy film stars Paul Hogan, 85, as rugged crocodile hunter Mick Dundee. In the film, New York journalist Sue Charlton (Linda Kozlowski) travels to the Australian outback to cover Mick. Dundee charms him with his skills and personality, and they end up together in New York, where Mick has to adjust to life in the big city.
