The fire brigade extinguished a roadside fire last night in Dalen, on the Oude Dalerveensestraat.
The fire broke out around 10.30 pm. The fire was quickly under control and the firefighters could prevent further expansion of the fire. How the fire started is unknown.
The Drenthe Security Region (VRD) raised the alarm phase last Thursday to phase 2 on the Natuurbrand-Risico card. This means that there is active communication about the growing risk of natural fires as a result of the continuing drought.
