Burna Boy announces concerts + new album NO SIGN OF WEAKNESS

#SantaBurna is back: Burna Boy has registered his eighth studio album NO SIGN OF WEAKNESS for 2025. In keeping with the good old tradition, the Nigerian rapper has now released the new single “Bundle By Bundle” as a pre-Christmas surprise.

The “Bundle December” has begun

The new song reflects the festive atmosphere of the West African Christmas season: the so-called “Detty December” – which Burna fans quickly renamed “Bundle December” on social media. Advent in Nigeria is known for its explosive parties, concerts and family gatherings. The release now fits into the Afrobeat superstar’s ritual of releasing new music at the end of the year. Just like he did in 2019 with “Money Play”, in 2021 with “B.D’OR” or in 2023 with “Do I (Remix)”.

On Monday (December 16th) the “African Giant” also announced new tour dates. Fans in Germany can also look forward to two exclusive open-air concerts in 2025: Burna Boy will play the Waldbühne in Berlin on July 5th and the SparkassenPark in Mönchengladbach on July 6th. Tickets are on sale here already available.

A giant even outside of Africa

This year was another eventful one for the Grammy winner: together with Coldplay and Little Simz, he achieved a chart success with the title “We Pray”. His “I Told Them…” tour in support of his 2023 record of the same name across North America recorded 16 sold-out dates. And to recognize his work, Time named him one of the “100 Most Influential People of 2024.”

Burna Boy, born Damini Ogulu in Port Harcourt, Nigeria in 1991, was born into music. His grandfather was the manager of the musician Fela Kuti, and his parents were enthusiastic about reggae. At the age of ten, he was already experimenting with music software and producing his own beats.

After briefly studying in England, he returned to Nigeria to concentrate fully on music. His breakthrough came in 2012 with “Like to Party”, followed by his debut album LIFE, which brought him international recognition – and helped the Afrobeat genre gain recognition in the global mainstream.
