Two burglars were arrested last night for a theft at a bicycle shop in Ruinerwold. The duo had stolen three bicycles there.
The burglars fled after the theft. That escape route led them through, among other things, a corn field. According to the police, they also swam across the Wold Aa. On the other side of the water, the pair were met by officers who had been informed of their location by a police helicopter.
The two burglars have been transferred to the cell in Assen. The bicycles have been recovered.
