FC Bayern’s goal festival against Mainz 05 was not only balm for the soul of the record champions, but also promoted four players to the team for matchday 25 – plus coach Thomas Tuchel, who has to leave at the end of the season. In addition to the 50-year-old, three-packers Harry Kane, Jamal Musiala, Leon Goretzka and Matthijs de Ligt were selected by the TM community.

Kane, who scored 28 to 30 goals this season and also provided two assists, received by far the most votes with 87 percent, followed by his teammates Goretzka (65 percent) and Musiala (65 percent each). Goretzka shone with four goals, Musiala with three.

Players from seven different Bundesliga clubs are represented in the matchday eleven. In Bayer Leverkusen’s win against VfL Wolfsburg, it was once again Alejandro Grimaldo and Florian Wirtz who convinced the TM users. Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Robin Hack almost became the match winner for the Foals after coming on as a substitute in the derby against Cologne. After his quick double, there was no getting ahead of the attacker in the weekend’s top eleven.

The Englishman, on loan from Manchester United, showed that BVB returnee Jadon Sancho still has what it takes against Werder Bremen on Saturday evening. The matchday team is completed by defensive goal scorers Jeffrey Gouweleeuw (FC Augsburg) and Robin Koch (Eintracht Frankfurt) as well as goalkeeper Alexander Nübel (VfB Stuttgart).
